Distractions!

I am so easily distracted these days....it could just be that I am working on the 12th version of a paper that was supposed to have been published years ago...so I find it very easy to get distracted...like updating my blog for example.  But I digress...they are totally removing the old NIDA building next to our building.  The giant building behind the one being torn apart is the new NIDA building.  Once this building is gone I am going to have a pretty sweet view of the Baltimore skyline...as sweet as a view of the Baltimore skyline can be anyways.

So I have been working at home a lot...trying to revise this paper that is such a thorn in my ass.  The biggest problem is that there is an MD author on the paper and getting a neurologist and a Ph.D. behaviorist to agree on any kind of data interpretation has been a nightmare.  But...so goes the life of Dr. Goody...as my techs so affectionately call me...at least...I hope it is with affection.  Yes...I choose to believe it is with good vibes.  I digress again...when I work at home I have hilarity on four paws distracting me.  At least I can shut the door...but that really isn't any fun.  Science should be fun.

The Bird!

I prefer the "cuckoo" version...also known as the "psycho bird".  Does this say something about me?

Both pics are from the first game we took Destiny too...she got the bird's autograph and was very excited!

It is love!

When T asked me last night if he had turned off the oven after cooking dinner and I wasn't sure how to tell if the oven was off by just looking at it...our soulmate status was confirmed.

Kitty Attack!

Spike likes to hide in the toy pile and then attack Berry Pebbles and Buffy....

But both Buffy and Berry Pebbles are on to her!

Freak of Nature or Cute Kitty?

Family Reunion!

Justin Goodwin stopped by for a quick visit. He was in town for the night and so we took in an Orioles game...it was so nice not to be the drunkest Goodwin in the room! For once, Tito wasn't coralling me! Justin proceeded to send texts to various family members and we tried to call some people but the only person who answered our drunken outreach was Nicole Goodwin...sister-in-law extraordinare. I am so glad she did because she reminded us that the Kentucky Derby was on the next day and we wouldn't have known since we live in a Tivo bubble. The cats took a liking to Justin and a good time was had by all.
