??

I don't know what happened with my rally post (see below) but I can't edit it and I don't want to upload all those pictures again...so no narration for the pictures and all text underlined!  My apologies!

Better Late than Never!

Tito and I attended the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear in Washington DC on October 30th. It was CRAZINESS! It was supposed to go from 12-3 pm so we pull up to take the metro into DC around 10am and the line to get on the train is coming our of the station and then winding around up into the parking garage! When we were talking the elevator down this girl told us that we didn't have to wait in line...we could just follow them because everybody waiting in line was waiting to buy a metro card and what they didn't know was that you could get a round-trip fair if you paid cash at a table sitting at the bottom of the escalators. So...we followed them and cut in front of everybody and paid our $6.00 and hopped the trian. But...in retrospect I don't think all those people were waiting in line to get metro cards. They were just waiting in line for their turn to get on the train to DC. But...what can I say? We seized the opportunity and were on our way. Corey Corey called us when we were on the metro but we lost him in the tunnel. That was the last cell service I would have until returning to Baltimore! Which really sucked because we were suposed to meet up with a lot of different people. Well...I severely underestimated how many people were going to show up to the shindig! There were so many people there was NO cell service and we couldn't even see the stage. It was craziness! The closest we got was behind some port-a-potties where we could kind of make out the stage in the distance in-between the shit catchers. Anyhow...we ended up bailing before the big rush of people because we would have been stuck in DC until 9pm. I still had to get back to Baltimore and work! So...here are some of the views we had...

ROSIE!!!!!

So...I am working under a grant deadline of three days from now and am frantically editing and getting that done...I am behind on work for my class because I am spending nights and weekends on the grant...but I won tickets to the New York Comedy Festival to see Rosie O'Donnell and some other female comedians. I called into her radio show and identified Bill Cosby from a clip and won the tickets! Tito and I drove up there...it took us almost 5 hours with the last 4 miles taking 1.5 of those hours. I was going to grade exams on the way up but was too excited! Anyhow...the show was pretty good and afterwards we got to meet Rosie!!!!! I wrote her a letter and gave it to her and she said she would read it on the way home. She was very nice and sweet and it was totally fucking awesome. I think now she will invite me over to her craft house. Oh, and it took us nearly THREE hours to get out of that savage city.  We rolled in about 4am.  That's all for now....I have to get back to work. I have 97 unread posts in my on-line classroom.
