Science Superstar!

Destiny took 2nd in the Science Fair!

I didn't get a very good picture of her getting the trophy...quick little chick that she is!

Group shot!  Myself, Destiny, and her mom Kathy.  Thanks Tito!

It's Alive!!!

The Aunt Judy/Kanook memorial tree survived the winter!  It is a miracle!  We have to give a nod to the special man for such a generous gift...Thanks and Glory to Cocksucker (the fish we buried when we planted the first tree)!!  Tito thought the tree was dead last fall and wanted to pull it out but I said we should just wait...maybe it had just shed it's leaves and would be back.  The prognosis was grim...but a couple weeks ago we noticed it had some buds!!!  Yay!!!!  Here is a picture of the buds...

And just for shits and giggles...her are some more fun pictures.  First, a really weird picture from using a flash.  It looks like a skeleton with two olives on the tips of a couple fingers.

And a random shot of Berry Pebbles and a branch of the tree.

And some pictures of opening buds.

Other fun pictures....

Pets!

Busted up!

One week and three days ago I fell down the stairs.  Being the daughter of Linda Goodwin, I like to share my pain and so I took some photos!  I don't really think the photos do the injury justice though.  As I slid down the stairs on the front of my foot (my leg being pinned behind me and all) and came to a halt at the landing...all I could think about was Kerry Strug and her doing a vault on a broken ankle and then the American team won the gold medal...and it turned out she didn't even need to do the second vault on the broken ankle!  But it inspired me to hobble out to the front of the building where Tito was picking me up.  But I digress...here is what it looked like three days after the event:

And here is what it looks like 10 days after the event:
Even the top of my foot is black and blue!
