Buffy the Vampire Slayer

To Declaw or Not to Declaw.....

That is the question. Or it was the question cause it is too late to go back now. Poor little Buffy lost her front claws on Tuesday and has been in the hospital since then. She was also spayed and microchipped but those things haven't contributed to my guilt issues. Though, my guilt issues didn't stop us from having it done. She gets to come home today and we are all looking forward to her triumphant return to the castle. Here is the conversation today when I called the vet:

ME: Hi, my name is Amy and I am Buffy the Vampire Slayer's mom and I am calling to check on her

VET TECH: She is fantastic, just a real cutie, we love her, she is great.

ME: Oh good.

-silence-

ME: So, can she come home today?

VET TECH: Oh you were actually checking on her medical status...hold on a sec.

ME (in my head): No, I was really worried you guys didn't like her and while I am not concerned at all at her medical condition I just wanted to make sure you guys were enjoying her company.
